Founder of the Big Blue Giveaway, 2012 - present

The Big Blue Giveaway challenges TSU alumni from all generations to randomly bless unsuspecting TSU students with care packages: including: toiletry items, snacks, inspirational trinkets, TSU paraphernalia, a meal, gift cards, and/or cash during Homecoming. Most importantly, the giveaway provides an opportunity for alumni to kindly interact with students.                                                                  


Established the Big Blue Giveaway Scholarship Fund, 2019 - present

The Big Blue Giveaway launched the “Big Blue Scholarship Fund,” an official scholarship fund, in the TSU Foundation.                


Initiated “Kids to TIGERLAND”, 2019 - present

“Kids to TIGERLAND” is a partnership with Warner Enhanced Options Elementary School in East Nashville.  Unused tickets are donated by alumni to students (and a guardian) making good grades and exhibiting positive behavior.

Greater St. Louis Chapter


Chapter President – Greater St. Louis Chapter, St. Louis, Missouri, 2014 - 2017

Under my leadership, Greater St. Louis chapter collaboratively; Increased community presence, as well as impact; partnered/volunteered with the local food pantry, KidSmart St. Louis, and participated in the annual Sista Strut a walk for Breast Cancer.


Increased student/undergraduate engagement; chapter attended TSU basketball games when the team played in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and Illinois, included student panels in a chapter meeting and regional meetings and led chapter participation in the Big Blue Giveaway.


Supported chapter in our goal to increase giving; the Greater St. Louis chapter is made of hard-working multi-generational alumni who sell tickets, solicit funds, and donate so the chapter could provide thousands of dollar in scholarships, support the student emergency fund account, and contribute to various university giving campaigns.
